We dive into the existing software and into the way your people work with it. Not just the screens, but the exceptions, the special cases and the unwritten rules. That is the knowledge you do not want to lose.

2. Research: can existing industry software do the job?

Before a single line of code is written, we first check whether existing off-the-shelf industry applications meet the requirements of your organisation. We compare them against your list of requirements and are honest about the outcome: if a standard package fits, we say so — including what it costs, what you would have to change about the way you work and where it makes you dependent on that supplier. If nothing fits, or only with compromises that hurt your process, we build custom software. That way you never pay for custom work you do not need.

3. Functional design: keep, improve, drop

A rebuild is the natural moment to clean up. Together we decide what moves across one to one, what can be improved and what nobody has used for years.

4. Building on a modern foundation

We build on ASP.NET Core with Blazor and SQL Server: one application in the browser, on any device, with contemporary security, per-user permissions and full logging.

5. Controlled data migration

Your history comes along. We migrate the existing data and verify the result with counts and samples, so old and new figures demonstrably match.

6. Switching without downtime

Old and new run side by side for a while. Only when practice proves the new system is right do we make the switch.
